Naresh Goyal receives prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award From TAAI
Mumbai, August 9, 2010: Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal has been conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award of the Year by the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), in recognition of his significant contribution to the travel and tourism industry in India, while aiding the development of the aviation sector in the country.
The award was presented by the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Chhagan Bhujbal, to the Chairman of the Jet Airways Group at a glittering ceremony held at the Taj Land’s End in Mumbai. The TAAI Travel Awards were part of the two day India Travel and Trade Expo (ITTE) 2010 that was held in Mumbai, to award the best in the travel and tourism industry. The India Travel and Trade Expo (ITTE) 2010 saw the participation of representatives from various companies in the travel and tourism sector including airlines, hotels, tourism, technology partners and allied services.
Commenting on the honour, Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways, said, “I would like to thank TAAI for this distinct recognition and honour. Mr. Goyal is the recipient of several national and international awards, and in addition to his responsibilities at Jet Airways, also serves on the prestigious International Air Transport Association (IATA) Board of Governors for the year 2009-2010, having earlier served on the Board from 2008 – 2009 and 2004-2006.
