Electronic Travel Authorization System for travel to Sri Lanka
Effective January 1, 2012, short term visas for travel to Sri Lanka will be granted online at www.eta.gov.lk, for a fee. Guests wishing to apply for short term visas should submit their details online at www.eta.gov.lk and pay the required fees by credit card. Once the application is approved, visa applicants will receive an Approval Notice, a printed copy of which should be carried when travelling. In addition to the Approval Notice, guests must also have a passport of validity of at least 6 months beyond the period of intended stay, confirmed return/onward tickets, travel documents valid for the next destination/return and sufficient funds for stay. ETA applications may also be submitted on arrival in Sri Lanka, at the ETA counter at the airport.
Short term visas issued earlier in the passport will continue to be valid for the validity period/purpose of travel/duration of stay and number of entries stipulated on the visa.

Increase in Service Tax (JN)Service Tax (Tax Code JN) has been increased in the Union Budget 2012-2013 for travel effective April 1, 2012. Please contact your travel agent for any further assistance. If this tax has not been paid, JetKonnect will be liable to collect the same at the time of check in at the airport.
This increase is effective for travel on/after April 1, 2012 as detailed below:

Check-in at Mumbai International Terminal 2AFor international travel only, JetKonnect guests are requested to enter from Gate A at the international airport.
Delhi Airport Terminal T3To facilitate seamless and hassle-free journey, please note the changes at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
Effective November 14, 2010, all flight(s) (within India and International) to / from Delhi will operate from the new "Terminal -T3" at Indira Gandhi International airport.
Check-in counters for our guests will be at Gate 3, from the departure kerb-side. Row B and C have been allocated for guests travelling on JetKonnect.
Please note that for all domestic flights within India, check-in counters will continue to close at 45 minutes prior to departure and boarding gates will close 25 minutes prior to departure.
Ticketing counters will be available at Gate 1 at Terminal - T3.
With the shift of domestic operations to Terminal 3, all JetKonnect domestic and international flights will now operate from Terminal 3.

New check-in timings
Our Check-in Counter closing time will be 45 minutes prior to departure for all our domestic departures from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
For our guests who wish to Tele or SMS Check-in, please ensure that you collect your boarding pass for your assigned seat no later than 50 minutes prior to departure.
Guests using Web or Kiosk check-in but with check in baggage will have to complete all baggage related formalities prior to counter closure.
Boarding gates will close 25 minutes prior to departure for our domestic flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
For all other airports within India, check-in counters will continue to close at 30 minutes prior to flight departure and boarding gates will close 15 minutes prior departure.
Please note that the Check-in Counters for International flights continue to close 60 minutes prior to flight departure.
With immediate effect please note that Nepalese and Indian citizens must be in possession of any of the following documents while travelling by air between India and Nepal to establish their identity as Nepalese or Indian citizens.
Identity documents required for Indian Citizens:
(i) Valid Passport
(ii) Voters ID card
Note:
Children upto 18 years of age should carry the following documents
(i) Valid Birth Certificate
(ii) School Identity Card with Photograph attached
(iii) Emergency certificate issued by Embassy of India, Kathmandu
(iv) Identity Certificate issued by Embassy of India, Kathmandu.
Identity documents required for Nepalese Citizens:
(i) Valid Passport
(ii) Voters ID card
(iii) Citizenship Card
